Bahur Tiling was founded by Huseyin Bahur in 2025. We are a small, family-owned business operating in Surrey and the London area. We offer a luxury, bespoke tiling service as well as selling custom, hand-made ceramic homeware. No job is too big or too small - indoor or outdoor, kitchen or bathroom, large tiles or tiny tiles, we do it all.
Our Story
He worked on every job imaginable – kitchens and bathrooms, floors and walls, indoors and outdoors, shops and restaurants, hotels and luxury apartment complexes. The luxury apartments were his favourite, as he loved seeing the combination of colours, materials and textures and it inspired him with ideas for future projects. He worked with architects, interior designers and builders, helping make people's wildest dreams become a reality. He spent two months learning English before the pandemic broke out and prevented further studies. From here, he taught himself the language, wanting to gain more work in the tourism sector. In 2023, Huseyin was awarded his Level Three Ceramic Tile Worker qualification, which is the highest tiling qualification in Türkiye and recognised in many other countries throughout Europe.
At 18 years old, Huseyin Bahur left his small, agricultural village in Mardin, south east Türkiye, to train as a tiler with his uncle. Even though he was young and inexperienced, he wanted to help provide money for his family to help pay for his siblings' education. In Türkiye, with its limited labour laws, Huseyin learnt to work hard. The hours were long and days off were rare but he developed a ceaseless work ethic that he carries with him today. He travelled throughout various cities in Türkiye from Antalya to Bodrum to Istanbul, learning and practicing the tiling trade. He worked his way up from a ‘helper’ (apprentice) to his own boss with his own team, finding his own clients to provide services to.
Huseyin took on his younger brothers as his apprentices and began training them as his uncle had trained him. They remain in Türkiye today, continuing to work with clients Hussein sourced before he left. In his spare time, Huseyin was always looking for ways to improve and hone his craft. He discovered he had the ability to craft beautiful objects out of tile. He started small, with a vase here and there for friends and family. One day, he tried his luck and constructed a sink out of tile for a client. The client loved it and so Hussein installed it for him. From there the idea blossomed, that perhaps he could make more of these items and provide them to his clients so that they could have beautiful, seamless bathrooms with matching accessories.
In 2025, after years of trying, Huseyin was finally able to move to the UK to be with his British wife. From there, he established himself as a sole trader and they developed Bahur Tiling together. Since his arrival in the UK, Huseyin has worked on projects in Caterham, Redhill, Merstham, Haywoods Heath, Oxford Street, Canary Wharf and West Kensington, both as a subcontractor and as a private contractor. He has completed his Level 2 Tiling NVQ and currently holds a blue CSCS card.
No job is too big or too small - Bahur Tiling has tiled kitchens, bathrooms and outdoor areas with a speed and quality that is consistently remarked upon (check out our Trustpilot Reviews). Our primary focus at present is on our tiling service, with our ceramic products and accessories mainly being crafted to
enhance existing projects (although product enquiries are still welcome). We are committed to providing a reliable, high-quality service that combines functionality with timeless elegance and durability for a taste of affordable luxury. Our goal is to work with our clients to bring their most Pinterest-worthy visions to life and leave all visitors to their home green with envy.
